Both robots are proficient in removing dirt and dust particles on carpets and hard floors and are able to navigate around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates intelligent maps of your home that aid the i3+ EVO navigate and clean in a way that maximizes efficiency. The i3+ does not have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or any other top-rated robots we have tested. It could get stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between surfaces, such as rug and hardwood.
iRobot recommends that you tidy up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might encounter. It's also recommended to keep the dust bin and filter clean so they do not become blocked by dirt. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is depleted it goes back to its docking station and automatically emptying its debris into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning the area where it left off. Battery life is about an hour and a half of constant use. It takes three hours to fully charge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in the iRobot flagship line and has the most up-to-date features. It's self-charging, self-navigating and the most crucial feature of all -- it has self-emptying bins that eliminate one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba I7+ is able to make rooms more efficient maps using Imprint Smart Mapping. It also integrates with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and direct your robot by voice or through the app.
The i7+ is more efficient and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface including carpeting. The biggest advantage over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin, which removes major maintenance sources and reduces recurring cost.
We were also awestruck by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning routines, move itself around the room and sweep the area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ with these services. When connected to these services, we were able give the i7+ voice commands like "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
This tiny Dyson model is a sports car in a world of vacuums powered by cordless that resemble minivans and buses. It's powerful enough to replace a stand-up vacuum in most homes, yet it is also small enough to fit on a bookcase or coffee table.
The V10 is powered by a Lithium-ion battery with 7 cells of energy that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. Its sophisticated whole-machine filtration system captures allergens and expels clean air back into your home. The specially designed head utilizes stiff nylon bristles to penetrate into carpets and collect large dust or crumbs. It has three suction modes that can be adjusted to the task. It quickly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum and back.
This model has an attached dock that charges the Dyson to 100 percent within 3.5 hours. It also gives the ability to connect two attachments as well as the wand. This is a significant improvement over earlier Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.

Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the ability to map that comes with more sophisticated models like our top selections, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. It is prone to getting stuck on phone cords or furniture and will often run out of power before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in many ways in that it has fewer components that need regular cleaning It also comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, has lower recurring costs, comes with more advanced automation capabilities and is better at maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges quicker.
The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery longevity than the Roomba 694. It also comes with physical boundaries strips and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It also feels better-built and has a more powerful motor, and performs notably better on floors that are bare and carpets with a low pile, as well as offering a wider range of features for automation.

The application also allows you to manually steer the robot in the event of need. For instance my living room rug has a darkly-colored border that can cause confusion for other robots I've tested. The HRV 425BL, however was able to continue to move across the border, without notifying the edge. Also, the ability to set up a weekly cleaning schedule is a fantastic time-saving feature.
